Please bring a laptop and charger. The following are our course equipment requirements:
Minimum: Intel Core i5 8th generation / AMD Ryzen 5 3000 series or newer; Apple M1 or newer is recommended for Mac. At least 8GB RAM, an SSD and 20GB of free storage. Windows 11 is recommended; Mac requires macOS 13 or newer. Keep security updates installed and use the latest Google Chrome.
Recommended: 16GB RAM or more, 50GB of free SSD storage and a 1920×1080 or higher resolution screen for working across tools and basic editing.
Also prepare: reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, headphones and preferably a mouse. Set up the platform accounts and generation credits listed in the pre-course checklist. A phone or tablet is not suitable as your main class device.
Classroom AI generation mainly uses cloud platforms, so a dedicated graphics card or gaming laptop is not required. Separate requirements will be provided if a class includes local AI models or more demanding video editing. Send us the model and specifications of an older laptop if you need a compatibility check.
